LEEDS UNITED'S TOUR.

THE COMING "TEST" WITH BOLTON WANDERERS.

The Leeds United and Bolton Wanderers football teams have joined forces in Amsterdam and will spend thr remainder of their stay in Holland together. On Sunday they meet in an exhibition match.

Allan Ure, the acting Leeds United trainer, in a letter, states that the Wanderers are at full strength, with Pym, Finney, Joe Smith, J.R. Smith and Vizard in their ranks. They have played seven matches on tour and have won them all. The Wanderers have tried out several youngsters and have been highly satisfied with their work. Butler, the right winger, and J.R. Smith, the Scottish centre, have not been able to play in any of the Tour matches owing to injury. Down's injury, sustained in the match against the Ajax club, was not so serious as thought at first, and he is making good progress towards recovery. Coates who bruised a thigh in the last game, also is making a good recovery

LEEDS UNITED'S TOUR.

RECORD CROWD EXPECTED FOR TOMORROW'S GAME.

Allan Ure, the trainer of the Leeds United team, which is on tour in Holland, in a letter received today, tells of the tremendous interest that the match between Leeds United and Bolton Wanderers, which will be played tomorrow, is arousing.

The Elland Road men have made themselves immensely popular by the good, sporting football they have played in the three games so far decided, and as the Amsterdam football folk have seen both United and Bolton pitted against their best teams, they are keen to see the two English clubs in opposition. It seems likely there will be a record crowd tomorrow. There were 13,000 spectators at the Ajax ground on Wednesday (writes Ure) to see Bolton play Ajax. The Wanderers are having trouble with injuries, and in the match they had Finney, their left back, at inside right, and Jennings, one of their halves, at centre forward. J.R. Smith the Glasgow man, who has been their regular centre forward, has been so troubled by his knee injury that he has returned to England for an operation. Bolton defeated the Ajax team by 3 goals to 1, and it is worthy of note that Finney, at inside right, was one of the strong men of the side, and actually opened the scoring after a great individual effort. The Ajax goalkeeper distinguished himself in the second half, when he saved a penalty shot from the experienced foot of the veteran inside left Joe Smith. The crowd did not appreciate some of the tactics of the Bolton players at one period of the game. Bolton travelled to the Hague to see Leeds United, who were without Coates and Down, thrash the Hague team, and since then both sides have contented themselves with sight-seeing and have taken matters steadily, awaiting tomprrow's test.
